This revolutionary swivel chair design introduces unprecedented technological advancements.

From every point of view, AL3 is flawless in appearance and form. Unusual harmonious outer contours impart a general impression of softness. The organic design can be seen in the chair's entirety and in its details. Note for example, the continuity of line as cross segments merge with the seat's base and back. Certain elements, such as the armrests, create intentional breaches in order to give tension to the form.

The soft form contrasts artfully with AL3's sharp, focused material. Frame and base consist of high quality aluminium. Worldwide, AL3 is only the third swivel chair with constructional elements made of this material.

Usually, the mechanical adjustment of the backrest force is horizontally located under the seat. Girsberger's idea, which provided the starting point for AL3's three-year long development, was to change the position of the mechanical adjustment from horizontal to vertical and, finally, to conceal it entirely in the chair's stand pipe. This unique construction idea of hiding the often unattractively bulky mechanism from view is protected by several patent applications.

Thanks to a comfortable three-joint mechanism, the AL3 synchronously adapts to every movement of the body.This technique, also developed by Girsberger, guarantees optimum support during active sitting. AL3 offers high comfort for users of practically all weights and sizes. “Form before Norm” was the guiding principle during the development of AL3. Aesthetics have been put before technical constraints, but in spite of this, AL3 corresponds to EN-1335 standards.

AL3 is available in two versions, either with mesh covers for seat and backrest or upholstered in leather. As an alternative, the chair can also be ordered with upholstered seat and mesh-covered backrest. The chair comes in one size with optional headrest and/or armrests.
